Who We Are
Not4gotten is a non-for-profit organization in Edmonton Alberta whose vision is that survivors of all forms of violence and abuse receive psychosocial support they need for recovery and healing. This violence and abuse can include community violence, domestic violence, child abuse, workplace harassment, and sexual assault victims.
We believe that no survivor should feel alone on their journey to healing. Our organization works to create a safe, therapeutic, and trauma-informed environment where survivors can access resources, build resilience, and reconnect with their communities.
Our Vision
To support survivors of all forms of violence and abuse receive brief supportive intervention and connection with services in a culturally appropriate environment.
What We Address
We recognize that violence and abuse take many forms, and survivors often face complex challenges that require comprehensive and culturally responsive support. Not4gotten provides specialized services for individuals who have experienced:
- Community Violence - Exposure to crime, gang violence, or unsafe environments.
- Domestic Violence - Abuse within intimate relationships or family settings.
- Child Abuse - Physical, emotional, or sexual abuse suffered as a child.
- Workplace Harassment and Abuse - Bullying, discrimination, or toxic work environments.
- Genocide and Femicide - Trauma from gender-based violence or mass atrocities.
- Vicarious Trauma - The emotional toll on witnesses, advocates, or professionals exposed to trauma.
We believe in addressing both the immediate and long-term needs of survivors, ensuring they receive the care, empowerment, and opportunities necessary to reclaim their lives.
